Designing Digital Experiences People Remember

Most websites work. Few are remembered. The difference is rarely a feature; it is how the whole experience feels from the first second to the last.

Begin with one feeling

Decide how the experience should feel before deciding how it should look. That single choice guides pace, type, motion, and tone.

Give moments weight

Not every screen is equal. Identify the two or three moments that matter most and spend your effort there.

Use motion with intent

Movement should explain, guide, or reward. If an animation does none of these, it is decoration and can go.

End well

People remember endings. A considered confirmation, a clear next step, or a small surprise leaves a stronger mark than any hero.

In short

Useful gets visited. Memorable gets revisited.
